Dearest Gigi's Future Husband,
I thought of you tonight as I lay here next to Gigi as she is slowly falling asleep. I am sure I will be writing you often because there is a lot you need to know about my dynamic daughter. Here are a few helpful hints from the one who knows her best.
1. You will need a King size bed, because the sweet little thing, takes up the entire bed. She thinks she sleeps best diagonally.
2. Two bathrooms will be a must, because she likes to spend a lot of time on the potty, washing her hands, brushing her teeth and looking at herself in the mirror.
3. Any time you take her out to eat, make sure there is chicken nuggets, pizza, noodles, or peanut butter sandwiches on the menu. And, if you take her to Chick-fil-A, she will be yours forever.
4. You may want to think about buying stock in Zappos. Umm, now!
All jokes aside the truth is.. I love Gigi more than life itself. And, I trust you will also.
I want you to know I have prayed for you, even though right now you are just a little boy and it is going to be years before I even know you. One day -when you & Gigi have children- I suggest you do the same. Because, even though I do not know you, God knows who you are and hears my prayers.
You are so important to me already because one day, I will share with you, one of God's greatest gifts to me. And, when the day comes when you take my daughters hand in marriage, I pray that you will treasure her the same way I do & always will.
Love,
Your Future M-I-L

11 Months
"Ten tiny little fingers that always want to play,
That never stop exploring the wonder of today.
Ten tiny little fingers that from the very start,
Will reach out for tomorrow yet always hold your heart." ~Unknown
Dearest Garrison,
You are so close to one year old! Which makes me so happy, because you are becoming "you", right before my very eyes. But, it also makes me sad because I see you slipping away from being a baby.
So what are you up to at 11 months?
-You can walk & even run
-2 of your 6 teeth are chipped. One is from the bathtub, I am not sure about the other one.
-You have mastered the childproofing of the electrical outlets.
-I had to childproof the toilet, because you are obsessed with it. (Hopefully this will help when we begin potty-training.
-You can "bark" like a dog, blow kisses, wave, and are an incredible dancer!
-You weigh about 25lbs.
-You are now sleeping in your crib for 12hrs a night! Yea! Only waking up once.
-You love to play outside on your Little Tikes cube, in the sandbox and stealing tomatoes from the garden.
-You love to sing: Row, Row, Row Your Boat, Patty Cake, and Yankee Doodle.
In your short 11 months you have changed my world, and I am so proud of the little boy you are becoming! Happy 11 months Bubby. Stop growing up, mmmkayy?
Love You Always,
Mommy

Garrison's First Haircut
On Jul 26th (10m 11d old) Garrison experienced a major milestone.. his 1st haircut. I initially wanted to wait until he was 2 for his first haircut, but he was in desperate need. We still haven't cut any off the top though..
We are so lucky to have such an amazing Stylist in the family. Riley was able to give Garrison his first haircut in the comfort of our own home. I am also glad it was her because I didn't trust too many people to go toward him with scissors in hand. Riley did an excellent job!
With the help of a Jello straw, Garrison sat fairly still while we praised him & sang songs. He looks adorable with his new "do", he no longer looks like a baby... officially a big boy!

If you're wondering...
where we have been lately... I don't know where to start!
Things have been crazy for us since our move & it hasn't left me with a lot of free time. In fact, nearly no free time. For those of you who know me - I am not even up to date on The Real Housewives... my favorite guilty pleasure. Here is a small glimpse of our life right now:
Moses- Recently accepted a new job as a Sr. Business Analyst up in DC (so proud of him), graduates from Embry Riddle University in a short 9 wks with TWO Master degrees (again so proud), and continues to serve in the National Guard (so very, very proud)! And on a fun note... he is training to o the Tough Mudder in Oct.!
Me- Raising the two smartest & cutest kids on earth, laundry, cleaning, cooking, working-out (training to run Marine Corp 1/2 marathon in 2012), grocery shopping, picking-up dry cleaning, learning to sew (again), mentally planning the kids 1st & 3rd birthday parties and assisting my sister in her extreme-couponing.
Grayson- Playing in the sandbox, swimming in the pool, riding her bike/trike/car/4-wheeler, jumping on the trampoline, harvesting the garden and pretty soon we are going to add preschool to her activities (I enrolled her today!)
Garrison- How about you wait to read about him in about 9 days, because he will be 11 months!
As you can see.. we have a lot going on. But here are some future posts you can look forward to:
-Our trip to the National Zoo
-Garrison's 1st Haircut
-Garrison is 11 months
