Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens
Last Friday, the kids and I hopped in the car and headed South to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. Traffic was horrendous, but it still only took us about an hour to get there.
The heat {humidity} was intense, so we didn't check out too much of the gardens. But we did make it into the butterfly house and we managed to climb a huge treehouse - before hitting the splash pad.
We were only there about 2.5 hours, but that was enough for the kids. Grayson was asleep before we left the parking lot and in normal Garrison fashion, he fussed the whole way home.

A Day At The Beach
This was our spontaneous trip to the beach. I have always been such a planner for everything - but lately we have been doing everything spur of the moment and it has been working out great!
Grayson enjoyed her time at the beach by playing in the sand! Garrison stayed in the water with Daddy almost the whole time. I was back and forth!
We had packed lunch for the beach and the kids were treated to snow cones. It seems the kids are given stuff everywhere we go. At the beach - we had a guy run up to us in a giant hot dog costume and give the kids free snow cone coupons because: "they are so cute". Well, I couldn't agree more!
