Laser Show

On Saturday evening we packed up our chairs, blankets and a picnic & headed out to the Stone Mountain lawn for the laser show. We met some friends & family there and let the kids run around. My kids were amazingly well behaved, which made the evening very enjoyable for Moses & I.

I didn't bring my camera & Moses forgot his I-phone in the car. So, these couple of pics are courtesy of Manuel's phone.

Georgia Girl

As many of you know Gigi was born here in Georgia & lived here her whole 2.5 years! But, as many of you don't know - pretty soon she is going to be a Virginia Girl! We are moving to Virginia in a little over a week now & before she changes into a Virginia girl & more of a northerner, I want to remember what a little southern belle she is..

1.  She greets people with "hello, sweetie" or "hello, honey".
2.  She thinks ever beverage that is not milk, juice, or water is "coke"
3.  Her most favorite restaurant is Chick-fil-A
4.  She thinks all mountains are made out of stone.
5.  She knows how to do the tomahawk chop.
6.  She checks every slide at the playground before she slides down -- too make sure its not too hot.
7.  One of the first words in her vocabulary was "sunblock"
8.  She will not leave the house without a hat on or a bow in her hair.
9.  Whenever she walks out the door she looks back at me and says "ugh, it's so hot outside".

I am looking forward to seeing how fast she will turn into a Virginia girl. I don't know too much about Virginia yet, but I guess she will start liking peanuts & history?

9 Months Old

"Your sails are set for the joyous trip called life, may you always find brisk winds,
a guiding star and a safe harbor."

Dearest Garrison,

What a month this has been! Separation anxiety has set in for you & it has made life difficult for your sister & I (and occasionally your dad). You cry whenever you cannot see me & you NEED to be touching me at all times. Most days I am not sure if I am more frustrated or flattered. Truthfully, I feel so special that you have chosen me to be your "safe harbor."

You have been spending a lot of time at the pool. You are my little water baby that loves to splish-splash around and be goofy with your daddy. You get a lot of attention at the pool with your great attitude & your adorable white hat.

You are almost walking. You walk with assistance all of the time. But, now you can go from the ground to standing without using anything to support yourself & have taken a few steps. We are estimating in the next week or two, you will be going strong.

You can say "mama" and "papa" like a pro. You always use them correctly and sometimes tease us with it..  you often will say the opposite of what we are begging you to say.

You are such a sensitive, sweet, bright-eyed little boy. My lips are constantly glued to your soft, chubby cheeks. You are a brilliant little guy and you have been such a light in our lives. We love you dearly Garrison.

Love,
Mama

In your new lil sailor suit.. it was too cute not to snap a pic, even the tag is still on & it isn't buttoned all the way

You LOVE to brush your teeth

So happy!

We Love You!

Memorial Day Weekend

Our Memorial Day weekend was filled with food, family, and fun.. just what Memorial Day weekends are supposed to be! We spent Saturday running errands & at the Mall of GA! Sunday we spent the day at Stone Mountain. The kids had a great time climbing at the Camp Highland Outpost & sliding/using the air guns in The Great Barn. We also rode the tram to the top of the mountain (it was Gio's first time). On Monday we spent the day at the water park! The kids both LOVE the water & slept great that night! It was so much fun to watch them all weekend explore new things & have so much fun. Too bad every weekend isn't filled with such great activities!
