Just Another Day At The Beach

Yesterday we spent time combing the beach with the kids. Although it was overcast it was a pretty warm {winter} day. The kids love searching for seashells and jumping off the large pieces of driftwood.

Christmas Baking

This year I decided to make easy Christmas cookies, so the kids could help with ALL the baking. Granted, Garrison's attention span only lasts about 5 minutes when it comes to baking (Grayson and I are happy about that). Grayson could bake all day long.

Letting them help taught me a few things..

1. They are better at unwarapping the bite sized Reeses PB Cups, than anyone I know.
2. Grayson possibly has a future in the cookie decorating business. She blew me away with her skill & creativity!
3. I should bake things with nuts, so we have some dough/cookies left by the end of the day.

Our 1st WA Snow...

It has snowed twice since we have been here -- once on Christmas morning!

The kids LOVE the snow and are always anxious to get out in it. I am less enthused. I would enjoy it more if it didn't take me 1/2 an hour to get ready to go out and five minutes into it - one of them inevitably has to go to the bathroom.

Seeing them play out in it is priceless though. The teamwork and creativity in making a snowman to pelting each other with snowballs to making snow angels. AD.OR.ABLE!
