It's no secret that I'm (typically) the one behind the camera. However, our neighbors trusted photographer, had a baby lamb she was going to do Easter shoots with. How could I pass that up? Although I was skeptical of the kids interacting with a baby lamb, they did phenomenal. Surprisingly, Gigi was the first one to hold the lamb and was incredibly brave about it. This may seem like I am making it a bigger deal than it is, but quite honestly I was very proud. The kids (like myself) are not really "animal-people." We appreciate looking at cats, dogs & other animals from afar, but don't necessarily desire their companionship. Pili even got in on the action & held a baby bunny!
After the shoot, the kids took some time to pet the baby lamb. They were petting it on it's head when the realized he had holes in his head (where its horns are going to be). I'm glad they figured this out after the photos, because it definitely gave them the heebie jeebies!

Gigi's 2 Front Teeth
It has been far too long since I have written to you. As you know our life has changed drastically over the past year. We moved across country, you started school and our sweet Pili was born.
With all the happenings of life and a new baby to care for I don't get to spend as much one on one time with you, as I used to. It makes me sad, because you are growing so fast! A little too fast if you really want to know how I feel!
I wanted to take some photos of you while you are missing your two top teeth. Because it without a doubt is the cutest smile I have ever seen! And I know before long those adult teeth (that you are so excited up) will be here!
I just want to say Thank You sweet girl for all you give to our family. I know being a big sister is hard sometimes (I'm one too), but you handle it with such grace. You were cut out to be a big sister. I know it's hard having to be flexible and get less attention and praise then you were previously accustomed to.
But, please know I am so PROUD of you! Your kind spirit, generosity and how fiercely you love your family is inspiring. I pray that this love you have for Daddy, Garrison, Pili and I - you will always carry in your heart.
In adoration,
MOMMY ❤️

My Pili-Pie,
I had every intention of writing all about you once a month. And here I am the night before you turn 3 months posting your 2 month pictures. It's safe to say life has been busy and doesn't leave much time for blogging. So, here's the all you need to know: I love you dearly baby girl!

Ice & Snow Storm
The kids have officially been out of school for 10 days. We have lost power 4 of the 10 day, making for a cold, boring house. Everything here has been shut down, they don't mess around here. After living in AK, snow & ice don't really faze me. But, here in TN - It is a BIG freakin' deal. The ice covered everything & was absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately though we lost a large limb of one of our trees. It could have landed anywhere in our huge yard - but landed on & broke our pool pump/filter. Ugh. We have trees that line our driveway & the ice weighed down the limbs to the point the limbs were still attached, but touching the driveway. Crazy.
The kids have played in the snow before, but have never been sledding (We didn't have enough snow in WA). And, to be honest.. sledding is scary to me. If you know me well, you will remember the very bad sledding accident I was in as a child. But, I bit the bullet & bought the kids some sleds and the 3 of us went sledding in our neighbors yard. Grayson loved it from the get go. Garrison was a bit more apprehensive, but loved it all the same. We spent a couple hours outside & the kids exerted much of the energy they had built up.

This is what I mean by a little apprehensive |
This tree already had buds, probably because it was 70 degrees 2 weeks ago! |

Build A Bear
I haven't been able to spend as much quality time with G & G lately, as I would like to. Most of the time it's for short periods of time, in between feedings, diapers, etc.. Gigi had some tooth fairy money that was burning a hole in her pocket, so we went to her favorite place - the mall. She loves to shop. She will often ask me "Mom, can we go to the shoe store? I promise, it's just to look." HA! I'm Moses is in for it, when she's a teenager! We looked around the mall & they finally decided on Build A Bear. Of course. They are a little obsessed. Garrison had just been there about a month prior and couldn't understand why the lady didn't remember him or his bear. He had the whole store in stitches. Garrison made a brown bear he named Captain American (he already has a Batman). Grayson chose a pink bear, which she creatively named Pinky. We had a good time. It was really nice to give them my undivided attention for awhile. I might have enjoyed it more than they did.

Up Close & Personal
Our little Pili-Pie is 7 weeks old. She is holding her head up like a champ and likes to stare you down with her big blue eyes. She enjoys watching her brother and sister sing and dance. Her favorite is their rendition of "Hard Knock Life". I'm sure it won't be long and she will be joining in.
